About London Live
Gathering the Gatherings
We’re not building an events site — we’re building connective tissue for the urban organism. London Live is mycelial network engineering, making visible the invisible threads that already pulse through our city.
Every day, amazing things happen in London. Art erupts in unexpected places. Communities form around shared soup. Strangers become collaborators on dance floors. Workshops birth new possibilities. But these gatherings stay scattered across dozens of feeds, insider networks, and word-of-mouth webs.
We gather the gatherings so none of us miss the magic.
The Revolutionary Act
What if access to joy is a radical act? When people discover the puppet shows and poetry slams, the repair cafés and drum circles, the free concerts and community gardens — something shifts.
We’re democratizing discovery. Breaking down the insider/outsider dynamics that keep the good stuff hidden. Making revolution irresistible because, as Emma Goldman knew, if we can’t dance, what’s the point?
How It Works
London Live tracks over 60 venues, organizations, and community spaces — from the Grand Theatre to neighborhood centers, from Aeolian Hall to grassroots gatherings. Every day, we surface what’s happening: the established and the emerging, the ticketed and the gift economy, the planned and the spontaneous.
This isn’t about selling you anything. It’s infrastructure for a different way of being together.
Building Dual Power
Every time someone discovers a community workshop instead of scrolling alone, every time neighbors meet at a local show instead of staying isolated, every time people choose gathering over consumption — that’s prefigurative politics in action.
We’re building scaffolding for spontaneous humanity. Creating desire paths for community. Open-sourcing FOMO in the best way: everyone gets to know what’s up.
For the Gatherers
Got an event? A workshop? A happening? Send it our way: events@londonlive.ca
We prioritize:
- Community-organized over corporate
- Free and gift economy over expensive
- Participatory over passive
- Local artists and grassroots initiatives
- Regular practice over one-off spectacle
Because the revolution happens in pottery classes and poetry nights, not just protests.
The Bigger Web
London Live is one node in what could become a mycelial network of networks. Open source tools for cities to know themselves. Cathedral software that outlasts its builders.
When communities can see their own vitality reflected back, when connection becomes frictionless, when joy spreads like spores through the urban ecosystem — that’s how cities transform from the inside out.
What We Don’t Do
We don’t:
- Extract data to sell to advertisers
- Charge venues for visibility
- Promote events that feel extractive
- Hide community gatherings behind paywalls
- Generate fake listings
This is gift economy infrastructure, built for connection not profit.

Deep Gratitude
To every venue that opens its doors. Every organizer who creates space for people to find each other. Every artist who shares their gift. Every person who shows up.
You’re all weaving the social fabric that makes London more than just a place — you’re making it home.
The Dance Continues
London Live exists because gatherings matter. Because isolation is not inevitable. Because when people move together — in community centers and galleries, at markets and maker spaces, around shared tables and on dance floors — new worlds become possible.
The city is already dancing. We’re just turning on the lights.
